Ed Sheeran has announced he will perform two shows in Coventry and Manchester as part of a run of European arena shows for his new album.
The singer-songwriter will only play two dates in the UK on the tour, taking to the indoor arena at the Coventry Building Society Arena on 5 December and Manchester’s Co-op Live on 7 December.
The shows will take place before his Loop Stadium tour, which starts in Australia in January 2026.
Sheeran announced the tour on Wednesday, ahead of the release of his new album Play on 12 September.
The singer will also perform in Paris, Munich and Dublin in December.
Announcing the shows, Sheeran wrote on social media: “Coming to play some shows in Europe, these shows will be more intimate than a stadium show obvz, but still will be incredible.
“I love playing these venues so much.”
Paul Michael, managing director of the CBS Arena, said they were “incredibly excited” to be welcoming Sheeran back to Coventry, after he surprised school children during a visit to the city in January.
He said the star was a “massive coup” for the live music venue.
“Our indoor arena has welcomed some huge names throughout the last 20 years, but they simply don’t come any bigger than Ed Sheeran,” he said.
“Coventry’s on the rise, the venue’s on the rise, and this really puts us on the map for bringing international artists into the indoor arena.”
Tickets for all shows will on general sale on 11 September.
