A man has been charged with murder by police investigating the death of Christopher ‘Chrissy’ Burns in Mountnorris, County Armagh.

Mr Burns was found dead with serious head and facial injuries at a property in Cusher Green in Mountnorris on Thursday morning.

Originally from Warrenpoint, it is understood Mr Burns, who was in his 40s, had been living in the property for a number of years.

The suspect, who is 39, is due to appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
