A one-year-old girl has died after being hit by a vehicle at a camp site.

Emergency services were called to the Bryn Gloch caravan and campsite in Betws Garmon near Caernarfon, Gwynedd at 10:20 BST on Monday.

The child was airlifted to Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool but died on Monday afternoon, North Wales Police said.

The force added an investigation had been launched and the girl’s family was being supported “at this extremely difficult time”.
