Police are investigating the death of a one-year-old girl in Sheffield.

Officers were called by the ambulance service on Wednesday to reports of concern for a child at a property in Overend Way, South Yorkshire Police said.

The girl was taken to hospital where she later died, a spokesperson said.

Officers were working to establish the circumstances around her death with an investigation ongoing, they added.
